Our Commitment to Children and Youth - Safe Sanctuaries
Assuring the safety of children in our care is a sacred duty. We screen and monitor those directly involved in the care of our children and youth. We train the congregation and its leaders on the reality of child abuse, risk factors leading to child abuse and prevention strategies. Safety procedures require two or more non-related adults present in classrooms and activities when a child is present and interior windows in all classrooms. Our Safe Sanctuaries policy, "Child, Youth and Vulnerable Adult Abuse Prevention Policy” is available in the church office.
