Our church family encourages our youth to attend summer church camp. Our United Methodist Women Unit raises money to fund camping scholarships to ensure our youth have the opportunity to attend.
Missouri United Methodist camps offer a fun, Christ-centered community that invites all into relationships with Jesus Christ and one another. Choose from four camps: Blue Mountain Center, Camp Galilee, Camp Jo-Ota or Wilderness Retreat and Development Center. Many of our youth attend Camp Galilee, located closest to our church.
United Methodist camp facilities and programs:
- Promote strong relationships between the camper and God
- Provide a safe environment of Christian love to experience God’s presence
- Develop an appreciation of God’s creation, promoting stewardship of human, environmental and financial resources
- Lift up God’s call to discipleship
- Equip our campers with the faith and skill needed for re-entry and living in the world outside the camping environment
- Promote ministries that are economically affordable.
